An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Teresa’s Special school caters to children with moderate to severe and profound intellectual disabilities, Pupils with complex needs and/or autism. It has a highly trained staff dedicated to the children’s achievement of their full potential. Experience working with children in a special school setting will be a distinct advantage for candidates considering the position.. It is preferable that suitable candidates will have experience in the management of students with behaviours that challenge and have a working experience of the following: Lámh, PECS, TEACCH, and FEDS.
