Additional Information:
St Iberius National School is looking for one bus escort post for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The bus picks up the escort from school or an agreed location and makes the journey to collect the children.
Our Lady's Island, Rosslare and Town.
The children are brought home after school and the bus escort is brought back to the start off point (i.e.school)
Applicants would need to be available in the morning before school for approx 2 hours and after school from 2pm for approx 2 hours (there is a junior drop off and a senior drop off).
The current hourly rate, set by the Department of Education, is €15.20 per hour. (+ 8% Holiday Pay)
Duties will include escorting children to and from St Iberius National School, assisting children to board and alight safely from the school transport, ensuring that all children are seated with appropriate straps and harnesses where provided and ensuring that each pupil is received by some responsible person at the set down point.
Previous experience working with children with special needs would be an advantage but is not essential.
All Bus Escort will have to be Garda vetted by the school.
