Stratford National School currently has 1 bus escort vacancy for the remainder of 24/25 school year.

Duties:
The escort will accompany a pupil on taxi/bus transport from their home to and from school.

The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons (approx 8-10am & 1.30-3.30pm)
The escort must have their own transport to and from the pick-up and drop off point agreed with the bus contractor.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the child on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including but not limited to assisting the child getting on and off the bus, securing appropriate seat belts and accompanying booster seats etc.
Experience working with children with autism is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.

Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references. Salary is €15.20 per hour processed monthly during during school term time. Escorts are not paid over school holidays but receive holiday pay instead. The contract is subject to change should pupils join/leave the service.
