The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator with the strong inter-personal skills needed to lead and maintain a happy, active School. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos.
Our Catholic School provides a child-centered, happy and safe environment for all its pupils to learn and develop holistically to the best of their individual strengths and abilities. In addition to high academic expectations, pupils are provided with and participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Candidates should have the ability to foster the involvement of parents within the school community.
The roles and responsibilities for the post are set out in the four domains of Leadership and Management as specified in DoE Circular 0044/2019, Chapter 4.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
Candidates should have current and continuing Teaching Council registration and show evidence of, and commitment to, ongoing Professional Development. The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
Applications, should include Standard Application Form for Principalship/Deputy Principalship - in English, relevant Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees, Teaching Council Registration and a recognised Certificate to Teach Religious Education and may be made by post to the Chairman of the Board of Management, Mr. John Diver, by close of business on Wednesday 8th January 2025 to: Tullagh, Clonmany, Co. Donegal

There must be a minimum of four eligible candidates.
