The Board of Management of Flowerfield National School invites applications from highly dedicated and qualified candidates for the position of permanent SNAs one full time and one infant day (0.83) to join our team. The Role of The SNA is as set out in Section 5 of DES Circular 30/2014.
- A Level 5 or Level 6 Qualification in Special Needs Assistance.
-Autism specific training is advantageous.
-Training and experience in areas such as LÁMH, PECS, ABA, MAPA is preferable.
-Training in administering Diabetic medication is preferable.
- First Aid Training is essential.
Candidates must be willing to uphold the Ethos of the school. The candidate must display a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the initiative to work independently and as part of a team. They must show a willingness to be involved in school activities.
They must always respect the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils and avail of further training as required.

The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, confirmation of qualifications and occupational health screening.

Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary panel, with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed PF1 form at the time of application.
