This is an infant hours position (0.83) .The successful candidate will be involved in supporting children in our junior mainstream class during the infant school day. Duties of the post are outlined in the Department of Education & skills 0030/2014 and other relevant circulars. This post is subject to continued NCSE allocation and review.

Applicants must demonstrate the specific competencies and requirements to meet the special educational and care needs of children . Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as set out by the DES circular 0051/2019, through having FETAC Level 5/6in in SEN. Relevant qualifications/courses e.g. First Aid and in ICT would be desirable also. Applicants will be required to provide proof of relevant qualifications if called for interview.

Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display a strong work ethic, demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training , respect the Catholic ethos of the school and willing to work at all times under the direction of the Principal and class teachers.

Appointment is subject to DES Garda vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
