The Red Door School are seeking to appoint 2 bus escorts commencing as soon as possible. The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school.

The buses operates between;

Ringsend - Monkstown
Sandyford - Monkstown

We are also seeking a panel of escorts to provide long and short term relief cover on other routes.
The contract is subject to change should pupils join/leave the service. Escorts must be able to meet bus at first pickup point.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Salary is €13.40 per hour processed fortnightly during during school term time. Escorts are not paid over school holidays but receive holiday pay instead.
