Scoil Mochua is a Special School catering for students with physical disabilities. Students are aged between 2.5-18 years old. We have 75 students with physical and complex needs. Our school is a warm caring environment where we help every child realise their potential. Our school follows the Aistear framework in our preschool, the primary curriculum in our primary classes, and the Junior and Senior Cycle curriculums in our Secondary classes. Staff may be deployed across the school based on needs of the children.

We are seeking teachers who are ready to work as part of a large class team, helping children with a variety of disabilities and needs. Ideal candidates will have the enthusiasm and belief that all children can learn in a caring supportive environment which includes lessons, life experiences, wellbeing projects, independent living skills tasks, trips within the community etc.

All classes have a team of SNAs who will be working alongside you. Experience in PECS, Lamh, FEDS, AAC devices, working with children with disabilities, tracheostomy training, visual supports etc desirable. This is a Droichead school with 3 trained mentors.
