Presentation Primary School George’s Hill is the oldest primary school in Dublin having provided education for inner-city children for over 250 years.
Presentation Primary School George’s Hill is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin, Dermot Farrell.
Presentation Primary School George’s Hill is a co-educational vertical DEIS Band 1 school with three AS classes including an early intervention class.
The staff of the school provide a secure and happy learning environment.
The school promotes inclusivity and celebrates diversity.
The school is a Restorative Practice School.
Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland (Route 1 - Primary) and have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a recognised primary school.
Applicants who qualified after Sept 2011, a recognised certificate to teach Religious Education is required. Applicants who qualified pre-Sept 2011, a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education is desirable.
The vacancy is advertised in accordance with 7.1 Chapter 4 Circular 0044/2019.
The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 0044/2019: 1. Leading Teaching and Learning 2. Managing the Organisation 3. Leading School Development 4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to continue to lead and strengthen the Catholic ethos in the school.
