Job description
Position: Rathdown Preschool and Afterschool Assistant

Hours: 30 per week 12pm-6pm Mon-Fri -38 weeks of the academic year plus six weeks of camp (term time and summer time)

Salary and Holiday: Salary rate above WRC rates and minimum 6 weeks holiday
Contract: Year contract Sept 24 (29th Sept 2024)- Aug 25

Working with children from the Preschool and children in the Afterschool. Ages range from 3-12 years old.

Candidate requirements

Minimum Level 6 in Early Years Education
Fluent English
Ideally minimum two years’ experience in the sector
Duties and Responsibilities:
Have a love of children and a want to help them develop holistically.
Be responsible for the care and supervision of children attending the service.
Ensuring the safety of all children.
Create an environment that is inclusive, enriching and fun for the children.
Organise and implement activities in line with Síolta standards and Aistear curriculum in response to the children’s needs.
Liaise with other team members in the delivery of a quality service.
Have a positive attitude and serve as a good role model for children.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Liaise with parents.
