Applicants should have qualification as per DES circular 0034/2018 and are subject to satisfactory references, OHS screening and Garda vetting. Applicants who hold the PF1 form are to include it with their application.

Candidates must be willing to uphold the ethos of the school. They must show a willingness to be involved in school activities, always respecting the dignity and confidentiality of the pupils and be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school.
Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team , be flexible, and display a strong work ethic.
Previous experience in working with children with autism, emotional behavioural difficulties and children with severe and profound general learning disabilities is desirable.
Any additional qualifications in additional needs/first aid/manual handling/PECS/ autism courses etc would be advantageous.
In addition to accessing the curriculum, duties may include assisting with eating, intimate care, administering medications, dressing, diabetes care, sports and other educational outings.
