An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Barntown NS is a primary school with a Catholic Ethos. There are 13 mainstream classes and 2 ASD classes in our school.
This advertisement is for two positions;
1) 0.66 of a position for the 2024/2025 school year
2) 0.5 (until 20/12/2024)
The Role of the SNA is as set out in DES Circular 30/2014.
Only those candidates shortlisted for interview will be contacted.
The position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review. It is important to be flexible as this role may change throughout the school year. We are looking for someone who is able to work as part of a team and who can be responsive to the needs of the children and the school. Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school. The duties of the post will be subject to the needs of the pupils and the school and may change accordingly. The successful applicant will be working with pupils with a variety of care needs in different classes.
Appointment will be subject to current Garda Vetting requirements and satisfactory references.
