Scoil Barra is a Co-educational Catholic Primary School situated in the Cork suburb of Ballincollig. This school has a Catholic Ethos and is under the Patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Cork and Ross, Bishop Fintan Gavin. The staff comprises of Principal, Deputy Principal, 18 Mainstream Teaching Posts, 1 SSLD (Language) Class Teaching Post, 9 Support Teaching Posts, 1 EAL Teaching Post, 8.33 SNA Posts, and 5 Ancillary Staff (covering secretarial, caretaking and cleaning duties).

• Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school-based initiatives
• Experience in prioritising, planning and organising workload
• An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum

Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria: Fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities for this position relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management, taken from ‘Looking at our School, 2022: A Quality Framework for Primary Schools and Special Schools’.
