The post is a post in special education, but is subject to change at the determination of the principal. This is a shared post part of a cluster with one other school. Applicants must have access to travel.
Cloverfield N.S. is a Catholic school. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education and will be expected to demonstrate how they will contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school.
Cloverfield N.S. is seeking to appoint a team player who is willing to contribute to the overall development of the school.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
Probation
Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
-Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with ASD, Dyslexia and MGLD would be beneficial to the role as would a knowledge of Assistive Technology, IT for SEN, Assessment and writing SMART targets for SSPs and IEPs, Running Records, Guided reading, Team Teaching/ In-class support/ Literacy Lift Off/ Mata Sa Rang
∙ Third Level postgraduate qualification or evidence of ongoing CPD in Special Education would be advantageous.
