An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We have 2 permanent SNA positions - 1 x Full time SNA Position (9.20am - 3.00pm) and 1 x 0.83 Infant Day Position (9.20am - 2.00pm). Both jobs are Monday to Friday and they have been sanctioned by the School's SENO.
These positions have been created due to the school opening our first classroom for autistic children in September, but the positions being advertised will be in the Mainstream school setting.
Experience working with children with Muscular Dystrophy, Down Syndrome, ASD and ADHD, assistance with personal hygiene and intimate care needs are desirable. A minimum of a year working as an SNA is also desirable.
Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible and show a willingness to engage in further training and upskilling, as deemed necessary by the Principal. This appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, current vetting requirements and OHS requirements. Posts are allocated by the NCSE and are subject to review.
