This position is for escorting children with ASD attending a special class to and from home to school. It will require being available to travel for two/two and half hours in the morning and two/two and a half hours in the evening. Routes are subject to change based on pupil addresses and management allocations. Duties will include ensuring the children's safety while travelling on the bus, embarking on and descending from the bus and preventing the driver from being distracted. Candidates will be expected to communicate professionally with parents and staff. Experience dealing with children with Autism and complex needs is desirable. Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references. Gross salary is €13.40 per hour and paid monthly. The successful candidate will not be paid during school holidays but will receive holiday pay.
