Croagh NS invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of 0.5 Full time Special Needs Assistant. We are therefore looking for someone who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, can contribute to our team and work on their own initiative.
Candidates must be willing to undertake courses which relate to the needs of the children & the school. Experience and/or training in working with children with A.S.D, O.T., emotional and behavioural difficulties, diabetes and medical care needs is essential and desirable. Experience of the TEACCH and ABC approaches to intervention would be advantageous.
Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel with
supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed Panel Form (PF1) with their application.
