The escort will accompany a pupil on school bus transport from their home to and from school.
The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons from 08:30 – 09:10 and from 15:00 – 15:40. The escort must be able to meet the school bus at the pick-up and drop off point agreed with the bus contractor.
The escort is responsible for the safety of one child with medical needs on board the bus and will be required to provide pupil care needs including but not limited to assisting the child with non-nursing care needs arising from medical condition, assisting the child with mobility and orientation and assisting the child getting on and off the bus.
No. of hours per day – 1.5
Appointment is subject to Garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Salary is €13.40 per hour processed monthly and only during term time. Escorts are not paid during holidays but receive holiday pay instead. The hours are split between morning and evening.
