Relevant qualifications and experience
- The candidate must have suitable qualifications for working as a Special Needs Assistant in Mainstream Primary school according to the Department of Education (Level 6 desirable).
- Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
- Successful candidates should demonstrate initiative, willingness to work as part of a team, display strong work ethic, demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training and willingness to participate in school activities.
- The candidate must be willing to uphold the Catholic ethos of the school.
- The candidate must fulfil current garda vetting requirements according to DES criteria for working in a primary school, occupational health screening and satisfactory references.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA supplementary panel, please state this in your letter of application and attach the relevant PF1 Form.
The position is subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
