The position is for administrative principal to commence on 9th April 2024.
The appointment to the position is subject, but not limited to, current and continuing registration with the Teaching Council. The successful candidate must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education.

The roles and responsibilities for this post are determined by the four domains of leadership and management as set out in Circular 0044/2019.

1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.

In addition the following skills, knowledge, competencies and experience are desirable:
• In-depth knowledge of the curriculum
• Teaching experience across the various classes
• Understanding and knowledge of special education needs, inclusion and diversity in education
• Proven ability to work as a member of a team and as a team leader
• Proven leadership skills, including policy development and implementation
• Experience in developing, implementing, operating and evaluating innovative school-based initiatives
• Evidence of continuing professional development in a leadership role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to foster links with parents/guardians and the wider community
• Experience with Droichead
• A clear understanding of and commitment to the ethos, identity and characteristic spirit of the Catholic school

The appointment will be subject to the confirmation of qualifications, Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
