Cur síos:
CERAN is a language school located in Belgium offering immersion language Camps to JUNIORS (9-17 years old students) in English.
The Teachers are key members of the CERAN Academy staff. Their role is to help trainees develop their communicative skills in the target language through structured, motivating teaching activities and plenty of practice.
Main tasks:
• Promote the target language and its use by all trainees
• Prepare and deliver oral and written lessons using the CERAN method
• Assess the level of students at the beginning and end of the course and complete a language skills assessment for each student
• Complete the required teaching documents
• Comply with and ensure compliance with current regulations
• Cooperate with colleagues
• Participate in meetings and training sessions
Working hours:
The weekly timetable includes lesson preparation, training, meetings and administrative tasks related to the role. It is based on a minimum of 30 hours, is flexible and variable, and can extend to a maximum of 38 hours per week, spread over 4 or 5 working days, including public holidays. All members of staff have at least one full day off per week.
Prerequisites :
• Perfect command of the target language (mother tongue or bilingual)
• Allow to work in Belgium (European citizenship or valid work permit)
• Experience in teaching children and teenagers
• Be able to adapt to a method based on oral communication
• Be enthusiastic about working with children and a sense of responsibility
• Be sensitive to multiculturalism and the difficulties encountered by young people when learning a foreign language
Additional skills (not compulsory):
• Knowledge of foreign languages
• First aid certificate
• Driving licence
Training
The training is partly distance learning and partly on-site before the summer session and is paid.
The summer camp is located in the College St Roch Ferriéres in Belgium which is 1h30 min from Brussels.
The nearest city is Aywaille where there is a train station with trains coming from Brussels.
Accommodation and meals are provided onsite or close-by.
Transfers from closest train station can be arranged.
Van is at disposal during free time to drive nearby for shopping or sightseeing.
Swimming-pool and other sports facilities available onsite.
Salary from €2118/month for a 38h weekly contract.
Accommodation and meals: around €70 per week deducted for full board
Transport: refund up to €375 to cover travel expenses
