St. Michael’s House Special School Foxfield are seeking to appoint 1 bus escort for our Swords location, commencing as soon as possible. The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school.

The buses operates between;

North County Dublin - Swords

The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Salary is €13.40 per hour processed fortnightly and only during term time. Escorts are not paid during holidays but receive holiday pay instead. The hours are split between morning and evening.
