Stratford National School is a Jewish ethos, co-educational school with 4 mainstream multigrade classes. We added two autism classes last September. We share our campus with Stratford College. There is no parking available on site, but there are number of free on-street parking locations within a two-minute walk of the school. Local bus routes include the 14, 15, 15A, 15B, 65, 65B, S4. Our Jewish students (approx. half of the student population) attend Prayers & Hebrew Language instruction before school each morning with their Jewish Studies teachers. The official school day runs from 9.20am-2pm for Junior/Senior Infants & our Early Intervention Class. 1st – 6th Classes finish at 3pm daily.

Our current staff are a diverse group who are flexible, hard-working and open to new ideas and ways of learning from each other. We encourage applications from experienced and newly-qualified teachers alike. Initial allocation may be in our multigrade mainstream class or in SET/EAL, depending on candidate skills.

Please note: At the end of this school year, we will be allowed to advertise a permanent teaching position made available by a staff member's resignation (start date 1 Sep 2024). For now, due to Department rules, we are only permitted to advertise a FIXED-TERM teaching position until the end of this school year. There are also 20 substitute hours per week available until the end of this school year (combination of SET/EAL hours).

Please include your Letter of Application in the body of your email. We will seek further documentation and certificates at interview stage.

Interviews will likely be held via Zoom/Microsoft Teams on 31st January from 7pm-9pm. Once shortlisted candidates have confirmed their ability to attend interview, they will receive the interview criteria and the list of interview questions a half hour before their scheduled interview time.
