Temple Carrig School is a co-educational secondary school under Church of Ireland patronage which opened in 2014 in Greystones, Co Wicklow.

Applications are now invited for teaching positions in Irish, starting in January 2024.

Why an ambitious Irish teacher might consider applying?
• Although this position only starts in January, the school will pay the successful candidate at a pro-rata rate throughout the summer holidays pending a guaranteed full-time Department of Education contract for the 2024-2025 year and with the intention that the contract would continue indefinitely thereafter.
• Temple Carrig is still quite a new school so these positions represent a unique opportunity for teachers to establish themselves in the school as it grows, with genuine chances of achieving a long-term career and better than usual promotional prospects.
• It is also an especially vibrant and attractive place in which to teach – successful candidates will very much enjoy being part of our energetic, positive and enthusiastic staff team.
• As such, we feel that this position (although open to ALL applicants) might particularly suit a Second Year PME student who could teach some classes with us while they finish out their course and know that they would be guaranteed a full-time Department contract the following year
