St. Anne's Loreto P.S. is a vertical co-educational school under the Patronage of the Bishop of Meath. The school is awarded a DEIS Urban Band 2 status.
This school strives to provide a child-centred, happy and safe environment for all its pupils to learn and develop to the best of their individual strengths and abilities.
The present teaching staff comprises of 1 administrative Principal,12 mainstream class Teachers ( including 2 teachers job-sharing together in 1 class), a Special Class Teacher for those pupils diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorder, 5 SET Teachers, 1 EAL Teacher, 1 HSCL, 4 SNAs including 1 full-time, 2 job-sharing 1 post together and 1 part-time post, 1 full-time Secretary and 1 full-time Caretaker.
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
An understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos.
Interpersonal leadership and communication skills and an ability to implement school based initiatives, manage school professional teams and lead the school community.
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum across all class levels with a broad range of teaching experience.
A high level of understanding and knowledge of special education needs and of inclusion and diversity in education.
Excellent communication and people management skills.
A commitment to and evidence of continuing, relevant and ongoing professional development.
Evidence of an understanding of DEIS and its implementation, the ability to foster the involvement of Parents within the school community as well as a commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Experience of Policy Development and Curriculum Planning.
Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council, have 5 years recognised teaching service 2 of which must be in ROI and have a recognised qualification to teach Religion in a Catholic school.
