Primary District Inspector - Department of Education
Description:
The Inspectorate is a division of the Department of Education. The Inspectorate works to improve the learning experiences and learning outcomes of children and young people in Irish early learning and care settings, schools, and centres for education. It also supports the development of the Irish educational system through providing high quality evaluation, analysis, support, and advice in relation to educational provision.
Primary District Inspectors are responsible for:
• Evaluating and reporting on the work of early learning and care settings, schools, and centres for education.
• Evaluating and advising on the development and implementation of national strategies and curriculum reform.
• Advising teachers, school leaders and boards of management on the promotion and achievement of excellence in school leadership and management,
teaching and learning and effective engagement in school self-evaluation.
Panels will be formed from which vacancies may be filled across the Inspectorate’s five regional locations.
Closing date: 3pm on Thursday 16th November 2023
