Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a Standard 0.83 SNA permanent post with start date November 6th 2023.
The appointment will be subject to current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
The duties of the post will be subject to the needs of the school and may change accordingly.
Applicants are required to:
- Have minimum qualifications as set out by the DES
- Knowledge and experience from working with children with complex needs, challenging behaviours, intimate care needs, communication difficulties, down syndrome and autism in mainstream, special class and/or special school
- Be flexible and display a strong work ethic
- Demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training
- A willingness to work under the direction of class teachers and school Principal
- Uphold the Catholic Ethos of the school
- Complete Croke Park Hours throughout the school year and be available for daily yard supervision
- Work as part of the vibrant, inclusive and welcoming team in Ballymitty NS
