St. Michael's National School is a co-educational primary school, which caters for pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class.
St. Michael's National School is a Church of Ireland National School under the patronage of the Bishop of Tuam, Limerick and Killaloe, the Right Reverend Michael Borrows. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to uphold the Church of Ireland ethos of the school.
This is a permanent teaching Deputy Principal position and the appointment will be made via open competition.
Roles and Responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management as specified in circular 0044/2019:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
In line with the above domains and working closely with the Principal, the duties attached to the role involve whole school curricular development, policy development, day-to-day management of resources and personnel and long-term strategic planning for the future development of the school.
