There are two substitute-maternity posts to be filled, with one starting on November 6th and the other starting after Christmas. Both posts will be filled from this interview process. The posts are for mainstream classes but may change at the determination of the principal.

St. Joseph's NS is a Catholic school. All teacher appointees must hold the appropriate Certificate entitling them to teach Catholic Religious Education.
St. Joseph's NS is seeking professionals who are team players and willing to contribute to the overall development of a busy school.

The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
Probation
Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
Knowledge and experience of teaching children with special educational needs
Experience of teaching in a multi-grade setting
Experience in teaching Aistear, Literacy Lift-Off, Guided Reading, Words Their Way,
Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy advantageous.
Interests/skills /experience in music/sport/I.T/STEM/extra-curricular activities are advantageous.

Details of teaching practice grades are necessary for candidates with less than three years' teaching experience.

Candidates shortlisted for interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, teaching practice grades, teaching council registration, current Garda Vetting and Medmark Pre-Employment Form.
