New Court Special School caters for students who are diagnosed with a mild intellectual disability and complex special needs and are aged between 5 and 18 years. The school patron is the Sunbeam Trust.

This position is for a part-time 0.6 one-to-one special class teacher on a specified purpose contract.

We are looking for a teacher who has a willingness to learn and an interest in educating a student with mild intellectual disability and complex special needs.

We are looking for a teacher who is inclusive, flexible and responsive to the needs of the student and the school. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and can work on their own initiative whilst making a positive contribution to the school team.

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake in-school training which relates to the needs of the student and the school.

Prior experience of supporting students with complex special needs, including autism is desirable.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory Garda vetting and occupational health screening.
