The Board of Management of Arles National school invite applications for the position of Deputy Principal .This a permanent teaching position and the appointment will be made via open competition.
PLEASE NOTE:The successful candidate will be in the role of ACTING PRINCIPAL until 8/04/24
Arles NS is a Catholic school. The school's Patron is Bishop Denis Nulty, Kildare and Leighlin Diocese.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to continue to lead and strengthen the Catholic ethos of the school.
The successful candidate must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education. A copy of this qualification must accompany the application.The Deputy Principal will work with the Principal to support and develop effective leadership within the school. The Deputy Principal co-operates with the Principal in the fulfilment of the Principal’s role and acts or deputises as the Principal in the Principal’s absence.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities for this position relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management outlined in circular 0044/2019 and in Looking at Our School 2022: A Quality Framework for Primary Schools and Special Schools

2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
