New Court Special School caters for students who are diagnosed with a mild intellectual disability and complex special needs and are aged between 5 and 18 years. The school patron is the Sunbeam Trust.

We are looking for 3 special class teachers who have a willingness to learn and an interest in educating pupils with mild intellectual disability and complex special needs.

We are looking for a teacher who is inclusive, flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and can work on their own initiative whilst making a positive contribution to the school team.

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake in-school training which relates to the needs of pupils and the school.

Some of the complex needs with which students present include autism, multiple disabilities, communication needs and sensory processing difficulties. Prior experience of supporting students with these special needs is desirable.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory Garda vetting and occupational health screening.
