Special Education Teacher/Special Class Co-ordinator x 22 hours.
Castlerea Community School invites applications from suitably qualified/experienced teachers for the position of Co-ordinator of a Special Class catering for the needs of students with Autism. Our Special Class is commencing in August 2023. Experience / qualification in teaching students with autism is not essential but is desirable. The successful candidate will be required to co-ordinate and manage all aspects of provision within the ASD class in addition to timetabled classes in both the ASD class and mainstream.

Interviews are scheduled week commencing 19th June, 2023.

A Garda Vetting Disclosure, declaration of fitness for employment, and proof of adequate registration with the Teaching Council will be required for each appointment.
All appointments are subject to the approval of and sanction by the Department of Education and the post not being required for the redeployment process (confirmed by the Director of Redeployment).
