Applications are invited for the position of Principal Teacher of Christ the King GNS. This is a Permanent teaching Principal position.
Christ the King GNS is an all girls’ vertical school 2nd - 6th. The present teaching staff comprises of 5 mainstream class teachers, 2 SET and 3 SNAs. This school has a Catholic ethos and is under the patronage of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dublin.

Roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management, as specified in DES Circular 0044/2019:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning.
2. Managing the Organisation.
3. Leading School Development.
4. Developing Leadership Capacity.


The following skills, knowledge, and experience are desirable:
• Proven leadership skills, including policy development and implementation
• Strong organisational capabilities including prioritising workload
• Evidence of continuing professional development in a leadership role
• Ability to promote a culture of caring, learning, and creativity in the school
• Excellent communication skills, expressed both in leadership and teamwork
• Knowledge of Additional Educational Needs and a commitment to inclusion
• Ability to encourage and foster the involvement of parents/guardians and the wider community


Appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening, satisfactory references, recognised qualification to teach Religious Education, current and continuing Teaching Council Registration. Applicants must have a minimum of at least 5 years of teaching experience.
