Home Economics Teacher Special School

Mother of Fair Love Special School, James's Street, Kilkenny, Roll No 19210P under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Ossory is designated by the Department of Education and Skills as a coeducational special school for children aged 5-18 years assessed as having a Mild General Learning Disability, 64 Students, 8Teachers plus Principal, 11 SNA's.

The Home Economics curriculum covering cookery and theory will be taught to students aged 12-18 years on two days a week. The Home Economics teacher collaborates with the other post primary teachers to fulfil the Learning Outcomes for Junior Cycle Level 2.

Experience in dealing with additional special needs such as ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviour is desirable.
