Scoil Naomh Padraig is located in Drumfries, Co. Donegal and is part of the parish of Lower Fahan and Desertegney. It comprises of three mainstream class teachers, one full time SET, one shared SET and one SNA.
The eligibility criteria, essential roles and responsibilities of the post of Principal Teacher are determined by the four Domains of Leadership and Management as set out in chapter 4 of circular 0044/2019

4 Developing Leadership Capacity
The following skills, knowledge, experience and competencies are desirable:
*A clear understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic School
* Knowledge, understanding and capacity to lead and successfully manage the administrative and teaching duties of a Principal.
* Excellent people management, inter-personal skills, teamwork, leadership and communication skills.
Candidates should have current and continuing Teaching Council registration and have a minimum of five years teaching experience. The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
Envelopes must be clearly marked "Principal Teaching Application".
A minimum of four eligible applications are required for this competition to proceed.
