There are four vacancies in the school for 2023/24. 2 fixed term positions as supply teachers and 2 maternity leave positions based in the classroom. However, one application is sufficient for either/all positions. Please indicate your preference on your letter of application. Tallanstown NS has been designated by the Department of Education as the base school for a Primary Teacher Supply Panel.

The purpose of the Teacher Supply Panel is to provide substitution cover to a cluster of designated primary schools in the Mid-West Louth Area. These schools are in rural and urban parishes, the education is through the medium of English and the schools patronage is both Catholic and Educate Together.

The teachers on the Teacher Supply Panel will be appointed to the staff of Tallanstown NS on a fixed term contract for the school year 2023/24. Applicants for these posts must have a Certificate to teach Religious Education and appointments will be subject to current Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.

This is a wonderful opportunity to build up experience in all teaching roles and to form strong professional networks in schools in the Mid-West Louth.

Travel expenses are payable as per Circular 0009/2015.
