Harold's Cross Educate Together National School is a co-educational primary school under the patronage of Educate Together. The school opened at its current site in Harold's Cross in September 2019.
We value respect, diversity and inclusion and promote a collaborative approach to education which honours positive and respectful relationships with all stakeholders. Our school community is caring, vibrant and enthusiastic. The wider school community of Harold's Cross is committed, active and hardworking. All stakeholders including our PTA and BOM are all committed to the values of Educate Together.
We are currently situated in temporary accommodation on the same site that our permanent building will be constructed on. At time of publishing, we are currently awaiting the progress of the tendering stage of our new build. Our location is close to the city centre which can be easily accessed by various modes of public transport.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to Educate Together ethos, have the skills required to manage a developing school and the transition to our permanent home.
Experience in leadership roles is desirable. Please be advised that Circular 0044/2019 outlines the Appointment Procedures for Principals via Open Competition. Candidates are advised to read this circular in advance of completing an application. Interviews are due to be held in person during then week commencing Monday 17th April 2023. Exact date and location will be made available at a later date.
Candidates should complete the full Standard Application Form for Principalship and submit in PDF format only with your letter of application contained in the body of your email. Applications should be sent by email only.

Applicants who are shortlisted will be given a minimum of seven days’ notice to attend for interview on the week commencing 17th April 2023 and should reply by email to accept or decline the interview. The email will outline the criteria for interview, exact date, location and name the interview board. Please note that there may be second interview in the event that this becomes necessary. Please note that a minimum number of four eligible candidates will be required for interviews to progress. Should this number not be reached, the Chairperson will readvertise the post as soon as reasonably practical. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
