Courtenay NS is a Catholic DEIS Urban Band 1 all boys primary school with 5 Special Classes. It is located in the heart of Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.
Applicants must have a Certificate to teach R.E. In addition, the following skills experience and knowledge are desirable:
Previous teaching experience across a range of classes
An understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic primary school
Evidence of continuing and relevant professional development
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
A high level of understanding, knowledge and experience of special education, inclusion and diversity in education
Excellent people, management and communication skills
Experience in prioritising matters, planning and organising workloads
Proven Leadership skills
Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives,
Previous experience in policy development
Applications should be accompanied by a covering letter outlining your vision and goals for the future development of all aspects of school life in Courtenay NS.
