Aim Support Worker required for St John’s Pre School, Cathedral Place, Limerick
St. John’s Preschool requires an experienced, pro-active and caring AIM Support Worker to join our team. The applicant must be qualified in their role of supporting children with particular complex needs and to act, if required as a key worker to a specified child. The Aim Support Worker will work together as part of our team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in their care and to implement and adhere to the standards and policies in place by management and the Childcare (Preschool Services) Regulations 2006.
The successful candidate for the AIM Support position must have:
• Minimum Early Childhood Education QQI Level 6
• Minimum 2 years experience working in the sector
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
• Basic computer literacy eg devising care plans, recording observations etc.
• Experience working with children with intellectual and physical needs desirable
• Experience supporting children with challenging behavior desirable
• Good experience of Aistear and Síolta with experience in observing, planning and implementing meaningful activities for a child’s individual needs
• To integrate and contribute to the positive culture of the preschool as a team player
• Be professional and caring in the role of AIM support worker

Part-time hours: 15 per week 3 Hours per day, Monday to Friday
