The initial roles and responsibilities attached to this leadership role are set out hereunder, and are based on the leadership and management needs and priorities of the school, as identified by the Board of Management.
These roles are subject to regular review and change, as outlined in Primary Circular 0044/2019.
The selection of the successful candidate shall be based on the following four competencies, aligned to “Looking at our School 2022 – A Quality Framework for Primary Schools”:
i. Leading Learning and Teaching
ii. Managing the Organisation
iii. Leading School Development
iv. Developing Leadership Capacity
The teacher appointed to this position will become part of the school’s Leadership and Management team.
