The Board of Management of St. Brigid's Girls National School invites applications for the position of Deputy Principal. This is a permanent post commencing on 7th November 2022. St. Brigid's GNS , Roll number 18324C, Turret Road, Palmerstown, Dublin 20 is a Catholic school under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin. St. Brigid's GNS is a mainstream vertical school with 345 pupils. The school has a teaching staff of 15 mainstream class teachers, 1 AS Class Teacher, 4 full SET posts,1 shared SET post and an administrative Principal. We also have 6 SNAs and a full time secretary.
This is a key leadership role in the school that will be of interest to teachers who have experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives. The Deputy Principal will work in collaboration with the Principal and the ISM to ensure the effective management of the school, that all pupils have a positive educational experience and that the school fully conforms to the governance structures as set out by the Department of Education.

A recognised qualification to teach Religious Education is an essential requirement.
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria:
Fully registered under Route 1(Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
