St. Patrick's Primary School are seeking to appoint 2 bus escort commencing 1st September 2022. The escorts will accompany pupils with Special Needs on bus transport from their homes to and from school.

One route involves the bus escort meeting the bus in the Renmore/ Headford Road area and entails 25 hours per week (5 hours per day split between morning drop-off times and afternoon collection times.)

The second route involves the bus escort meeting the bus in the Moycullen area and entails 20 hours per week (4 hours per day split between the morning drop-off times and afternoon collection times.)

Escorts must have their own transport.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seat belts.

Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to collaborate with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic delays etc.

Appointment is subject to Garda vetting and appropriate character references.
