Avista provide Residential and Day Services to people with an Intellectual Disability. We are looking for candidates who are committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.
DEC is a school age service providing comprehensive health and education programmed for children and young people aged 5 -18 years with complex needs. The successful candidate will work as part of a team delivering a service based on each child’s/young persons individual needs .
Applicants should:
• Hold a teaching degree recognised by the Department of Education and Skills
• Be registered on the Teaching Council or be eligible to apply to be registered
• Have previous experience of working with children with complex needs is desirable
• Be a highly motivated individual with ability to work on own initiative
• Have ability to work effectively with families and wider MDT
• Be innovative, enthusiastic and creative
• Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioral competencies of Avista competency framework: This can be found on the last page of the Job Description
