St Mary’s School is a school for children with a Mild Intellectual Disability 4-18 years old and has two ASD specific classes between the mild to moderate range for pupils aged 4 to 12 years old.
We currently have a position for 1 bus escort for the 2021-2022 school year. The transport will orginate from the Cobh area.
The escort will accompany pupils on a bus from their home to and from St Mary’s School in Rochestown each day. The escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons, 5 days per week.
The escort is responsible for the safety of the child on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including but not limited to assisting the child getting on and off the bus, securing appropriate seat belts etc. Experience of administering Buccal Midazolam would be desirable but training can be given. Relevant experience would be highly desirable.
Appointment is subject to Garda vetting and appropriate character references.
