English mother tongue - secondary school

The European School of Varese is part of the European school system and provides education for children whose parents work for the European institutions. Our school community is made up of over 1500 pupils of 50 different nationalities and over 200 staff members from different countries. Pupils study in five language sections: French, English, German, Italian and Dutch. Located on a campus close to the centre of Varese, we offer innovative teaching programs that allow the achievement of exceptional academic results. APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS

• Have an appropriate teaching qualification in L1 English,
• Diploma (validated by the national authorities) permitting teaching in a secondary school,
• Must be a native speaker of English,
• Recent experience with secondary school students,
• Being able to work in a dynamic, multilingual and multicultural team,
• Passion for teaching and taking into account all of the child’s competencies, beyond purely academic aspects,
• Interest in and practicing differentiating pedagogy,
• A high level of professionalism and care for the pupils’ well-being,
• European citizen or person having a valid working permit in Italy.


PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO A TEACHER WHO:

• Has experience teaching in a European or international school
• Integrates new technologies as pedagogical tools
• Speaks another vehicular language (IT or DE or FR) -This will be considered an asset
• Is flexible in the schedule











WE OFFER

We are offering contracts in accordance with the Service regulations for the locally recruited teachers in the European schools (Ref.: 2016-05-D-11-en-6) available on the EE website : www.eursc.eu or by clicking here

• Starting day : March 2022-December 2022
• Schedule : you will be teaching classes between Monday and Friday ; as well as time required for related duties, team meetings (follow-up of students, setting up of shared projects), and meeting with parents
• Type of contract : a fixed term contract
Salary : monthly gross salary of +/- €3781.68 Gross/Lordo (21 teaching periods).
• Location : Varese, Italy
