Roles will be approx. 15 – 20 hours per week (depending on route requirements) -consisting of school drop off in mornings and collection in afternoons. The escort is responsible for the safety of the child on board the bus/taxi and will be required to provide pupil care needs including, but not limited to, assisting the child getting on and off the bus/taxi, securing appropriate seat belts, etc.

Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable but not essential. An understanding of children with Special Needs is important and the bus escort must be kind, patient and empathetic. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pickups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
