This is a temporary teaching post, pending the advertising and filling of the Deputy Principal post. The term of the temporary teaching post may be extended to the end of the current school year.
Two maternity-leave positions are also available.
St. Michael's House Grosvenor School, Leopardstown Road, Dublin 18 is a Special School for pupils aged four to eighteen years with a Moderate General Learning Disability (8 students per class), some of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum, 6 students per class. ( We also have classes for pupils with a severe Learning Disability).
All qualified primary teachers are eligible to work in this school.
An additional qualification in Special Education is advantageous. Familiarity with the maintenance of low-arousal environments and positive behaviour management approaches would be an advantage.
