SNA St Teresa’s Special school caters to children with moderate to severe and profound intellectual disabilities as well as to those with complex needs and autism. It has a highly trained staff dedicated to the children’s achievement of their full potential. Experience working with children in a special school setting will be a distinct advantage for candidates considering the position. The ideal candidate will be energetic and have a determination to enable the children to be the best they can be. . It is preferable that suitable candidates will have experience in the managemet of students with behaviours that challenge and have a working experience of the following: Lámh, PECS, TEACCH, and FEDS. In date manual handling, FEDS, MAPA or Studio 3 and medication training would be an advantage.
Those with Panel Forms will be given first preference.
We are also advertising for temporary posts. Please state in your letter of application and mark clearly on envelope if you wish to be considered for Permanent Posts only or Permanent and Temporary posts.
A Panel will be formed for the year.
