Full Time Childcare Practitioner
Tinga Tinga Childcare is a full day care childcare facility catering for children from 2 years to 11 years of age.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with Management and the Team to ensure the efficient running of the service, providing a high quality childcare service to the children & families of the local area.
This is a Full Time role and so the candidate must be flexible to work shifts between 7.45 and 6pm. The successful candidate will be offered a 12 month contract which may have the potential of being extended to a permanent role.
The Childcare Practitioner will:
• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
• Work with Management to ensure the smooth efficient running of the preschool service
• Be responsible for ensuring and maintaining that paperwork is compliant with regulations and inspections
• Work as part of the team within the centre with the potential to grow with further training and development
• To be key worker and maintain observations and records of individual child’s development
• To follow our play based ethos and curriculum, organise activities that allow children to learn about the world around them and explore their interests.
Our Ideal candidate will have:
• Qualified with a minimum Level 6 in Early Childhood Studies but level 7/8 in Early Childhood Studies desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children
• Knowledge in current legislation & quality standards
• A good working knowledge of Aistear and Siolta
• Have a friendly, caring nature with a passion for working with children
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team as well as use their own initiative
• Experience and flexibility to work with all ages where required
• Up to date training in Manual Handling. First Aid and Food Hygiene
The successful candidate will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.
